HOW ARE THE PRICES SO LOW? The same quarry, same quality, thickness and format for a fraction of the cost of a specialty tile store. Premium Natural stone products such as Carrara, Calacatta, and Honey Onyx have always been sold through high end specialty stone retailers. The cost of these products in retail stores for anyone who has been into them is incredibly expensive.

The overheads, supply chain costs, exclusivity and availability of these natural stone products have all added to the cost. Selling online with a nationwide distribution network The Builder Depot has created a model that takes the same Carrara, Calacatta quarries used by brand name distributors, eliminated all the supply chain and retail costs allowing us to offer our customers retailers and contractors natural stone products for less than 80% of the cost of these high end retailers.

Delivery and Lead Times: All delivery dates are estimates. We cannot guarantee specific deadlines. We recommend booking installation after receipt of the product. On delivery day:

• Inspect the outside of the boxes for any signs of damage. If the product is damaged the boxes will show distress and be torn.

• We list the amount of cartons on the packing slip that your shipment should contain. Count the boxes to make sure they are all there.

• Make a note on the delivery slip (BOL) for the amount of any damaged boxes or the amount of missing cartons – even make a note that there is damage. Ask them to call their supervisor if necessary especially if there is not time for the driver to wait for you to check the package – this will allow Freight Company to leave the amount of damage open and wait for you to call them with the exact quantity.

• Sign the delivery slip and receive both the damaged and undamaged product.

• Call us to arrange for the replacement of the damaged product or any boxes that may be missing.

We replace your product and work with the delivery companies on shipping claims. This is full service with us filing your claim providing you sign for the damage upon receipt of the shipment. If you do not sign for shipping damage on the BOL at the time of delivery we lose our ability to file a claim with the delivery company on your behalf. This means we are not able to provide you with replacement material at no cost and you have to file a claim with the shipping company on your own.

Inspection: Claims for shortages or damages must be made upon receipt of the product and noted on the BOL. Purchaser/installer is responsible for final inspection. Do not install defective product. Use and attempted installation constitutes acceptance.

Returns/Exchanges: Returns or exchanges are not permitted on opened boxes or samples. To be eligible for a return or exchange, the product must be in its original condition and have been properly stored. Installed product is considered accepted by purchaser and may not be exchanged or returned for any reason. Shipping and delivery charges are non-refundable. Any additional shipping costs relating to a return or exchange are the sole responsibility of purchaser.

Requests for returns must be made within 30 days of receipt of the product. Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking.

Payment and Refunds: We accept cash, checks, debit cards and credit cards. A $30 fee may be assessed for returned checks. For returns, purchases made by cash or check will be refunded by check within 3-5 weeks; and purchases by credit or debit card will be credited back to the credit or debit card used for the purchase within 2-3 days.
